Mac Filtering

MAC stands for media access control it is an unique identification code or number assigned network interface controller for communication at data link layer. all devices have its own mac address. mac address all devices are different from each other and its cannot be changed. all devices have their own mac address.

MAC Address | Mobile


  1. Press the Menu key and select Settings.
  2. Select Wireless & networks or About Device.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Settings or Hardware Info.
  4. Press the Menu key again and choose Advanced. Your device's wireless adapter's MAC address should be visible here.

MAC Address | Computer

1. Open command prompt window
2. Type ipconfig /all at the command prompt to check the network card settings.
The IP number and MAC address are listed by ipconfig under IP Address and Physical Address.

PTCL Mac Filtering

1. Go itno your broadband router settings or admin panel by using your log in cardential
2. Go to Wireless and go to Mac Filter
Here if you can set it to allow then add all devices mac address which you want to give access to you wireless network if you choose dany here all those unwanted devices mac address which you want not giving access to your wireless network by simply adding them into the list.
